Oregon German Shepherd Rescue was founded February 2005. This rescue was started as a result of having no safe place in Oregon, for shelter German Shepherds to land. German Shepherds fare poorly in the shelter environment, and many are euthanized within days of going up for adoption or arriving at the shelter. The members of this rescue have over 30 years of experience with the breed. We are dedicated to rehabilitating, training, and re-homing displaced German Shepherds. To date we have adopted over 100 dogs. Oregon German Shepherd Rescue is a firm promoter of spay and neuter. We spay and neuter all of our dogs prior to them being adopted. We also offer medical relief for the dogs that are in need and have not received the critical treatment they need. We have funded eye surgery's, repaired elbows, pulled and cleaned teeth, and provided numerous other medical services. We hope to soon start a news letter, so we can share our success, and keep you up to date on German Shepherd related news. We would like to thank you for your support, and please drop us a line and say hi. Paula Lynch Founder, Oregon German Shepherd Rescue |
