Harley

Harley is a beautiful Shepherd that came to us injured
and homeless. His family did not see a need for a
fence, and when Harley ran out into the road and
was hit by a car his family asked the vet to euthanize
him because the expense was too much for them to
fix the injuries that he sustained. If they had spent the
money on the fence in the first place then Harley
would never be in this position. We are so thankful
that the vet that his family took him to called us so
that we could save him. Harley recieved surgery for
his injuries, and at the same time found a home!
A veterinary technician that cared for Harley applied
to adopt him, and he is doing wonderful with both his
recovery and his new family.

08/14/08 - Harley is back with us!
Unfortunately we have received Harley back into our rescue. The family that adopted this
beautiful boy had a change of family circumstances and could no longer care for him. He is
in our care now and we absolutely love this big man! He is such a gentleman and is the
most loving dog ever. We are having a hard time deciding if we can give him up to be
adopted again. He fits in so well with our family and it seems he is certain he has finally
found the perfect home.

12/02/07 - Harley's surgery was a success!
Harley's surgery went well and to top things off, the
vet technician fell in love with this lovely boy and
adopted him! The Oregon German Shepherd Rescue
is still sponsoring his surgery, but his wonderful new
family will be able to provide all of his recovery needs!
We are so thankful to have found him such a wonderful
new family in such a short amount of time! We will
post more pictures of him as soon as we can.

Hit by a car, and signed over for Euthanasia.
Harley needs your help ASAP!!

Harley is a two year old AKC German Shepherd Boy.
His owners purchased him, and did not offer the
simple safety of a fence. When Harley was hit by a car,
and the cost was too great for repair, his owners
opted for the option of euthanasia.

Thankfully the vet did not think it was right for this
wonderful boy to be destroyed.

Harley has serious injuries, and his vet work is quoted
at $5,000 dollars. Thanks to the dedication of the vet
she has found a specialist to do the surgery for $2,000.
We are committed to $1,000 down, and the balance
due in three monthly installments. Harley goes in for
surgery Tuesday, November 20th and will have a
long road to recovery.
